Metal Bootlegs presents a possible new feature to the site that I feel will benefit many traders new & old. Many of you may have noticed that I’ve put a poll up on the site. This poll will help me determine if there is enough interest in metal bootlegs hosting trade lists on the site. Originally I had thought about importing this site into a blog software that would allow other registered members a place to create your trade site on metal bootlegs, but this would probably be a lot of site juggling and work to accomplish, so I decided instead to go with something a bit more simple.
Registered members would have the ability to create their own post/page on this site with your trade list. Basically you would copy and paste/type your list into a post/page that would be searchable throughout the site using the built in search feature. There is no limit to the size of your list it can be huge or small, the software handles either just fine. You can even format the list how you want.
PROS OF METAL BOOTLEGS HOSTING YOUR LIST
- Its free! It will only cost you as much time as you want to spend on it.
- Its searchable! This allows other traders to find your list/shows easier.
- Its centrally located! Traders may visit this site anyways for information or downloads. While they are here they can browse other trader’s lists!
- Its easier to get new trades! Having many trader’s lists in one place makes it easier to get new trades. Since the site has a search feature viewers can search for a particular show. If that show is on your list it will display in the search results.
- Its easier to maintain! You can maintain & update your own list just by logging in & editing the post/page your list is on.
